My first group quilt :)

Sometime back, 6 of us from our FB quilt group got together to make a baby quilt or one of the other members who just delivered a baby boy. Realistically, I knew it was gonna be tough to commit to the project, but I went ahead and signed up for it anyway :) A forced deadline is always a good incentive to start & finish something new :)

The subject was appliqué, any design and color, on a blue block. I wasn't ambitious, especially since it's my first ever appliqué work, so I chose a simple dinosaur motif.

If you look closely, the machine satin stitch is irregular in places (especially around corners), so I'm glad you can't see them! To make up for the simple design, I added some hand embroidery in dark green DMC floss.

The other ladies did a fantastic job on the quilt. I especially love the bright rocket! I don't remember who pieced it together, but Kak Aida did the hand quilting and it's yummy...

The smiling, chubby recipient is Zila's baby... Isn't he just so adorable on that quilt?

It was a fun experience, and I'd definitely do it again in the future! I missed out on 2 more group quilts after this one due to work commitments, but you betcha I'll be signing up again soon!

3. Once availability is confirmed, deposit of 50% is required. Full payment must be made within 2 days before item is shipped out. All payment transactions need to be mailed to the email above as proof of payment. Any cancellations without reasonable explanation will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

5. Only genuine buyers please. Once sold, goods are not returnable as I will inspect all items prior to shipping to ensure no defects (if any are present, I will highlight in advance).

6. At the moment all shipments will be sent using Poslaju. Shipping costs will be advised together with the final purchase price.

COD & self-pickup is also available, limited to our shop in Bandar Utama or other pre-determined locations subject to time.

I've just recently caught the sewing bug, and the results are several items (mainly the style of tudung commonly known as DIY tudung) that I wish to share with others for their use.

At first, I only learnt to sew these for my own purpose (since I get to choose the pattern and fabrics that I like), but I began making more just for the fun of it, and decided to put these pretty things up for sale.

Of course, as a novice, my work may not be at the same level as the ones sold in boutiques, but the quality control is just as strict! Basically, I will only sell items that I don't mind using for myself. At the same time, I will continuously strive to improve the quality of items that I produce.

I try to price my items competitively, as a measure of the quality of work as well as the quality of the materials used.

In time, more items besides tudung will be put up for sale, as I'm doing a joint-venture with my mother :)

I'm really excited about doing this, as I find the whole experience of making items by hand incredibly stress-relieving and satisfying.
